We made it through the first night with flying colors. That may be because the night nurse came and took Harper into the nursery so Allison could rest. We were able to get about 4-5 hours of sleep, which makes today seem much better. We didn't think we'd want to do that, but since we got so little sleep Wednesday, it seemed to make sense.
We had Harper's newborn pictures taken this morning (still looks very much like a newborn)
As soon as the photo is posted, I'll update the blog with the link and stuff.
So far, being a parent of a daughter isn't that different than with a boy. We're finding it's difficult to remember to say "her" and "she" instead of his and he, but other than that, there's a lot of "burrito wrapping", changing really tiny diapers, trying to keep a hat on the big head (very difficult, in my opinion) and watching them try to keep their eyes open. Allison does say that the clothes for little girls are much cuter than for boys.
